Portland Petanque Club, founded in 2001, actively promotes the sport of Petanque in the Pacific Northwest and nationally. PPC is an affiliate of the Federation of Petanque of the United States of America (FPUSA), the national sports organization. Our club is open to all, and we encourage everyone to come give the game a try.
We are active in the local community, and regularly partner with local schools, citizens and businesses for special events and commnity activities. You can learn more in our report, Portland Petanque and the Community (opens in a new window).
PPC is governed by a five-member board of directors, elected by the membership. The current officers and board members are: President Joe Cortright, Secretary Scott Muir, Treasurer Mary Acosta, Sports Director Jen Sliker, and Membership Director Laurel Kauffman. You can learn about our events and contact us through this website. The Portland Petanque Club and the Portland Lawn Bowling Club jointly operate the petanque and lawn bowling facilities at Westmoreland Park under the auspices of the Westmoreland Sports Alliance and through an agreement with the Portland Parks Bureau.
